Achieve a Beautiful Smile with Long-lasting Dental Bridges
A dental bridge is a permanent solution for replacing missing teeth, custom-crafted for a natural appearance. Unlike removable prosthetics, bridges are securely attached to surrounding teeth, eliminating the need for removal and cleaning. With proper care, fixed bridges can last for many years before needing to be replaced.
Why is a Dental Bridge Necessary?
If you have a missing tooth and want to avoid dental implant surgery or are not eligible for it, a dental bridge can be a great alternative. A bridge can restore the appearance and function of your smile, while also preventing nearby teeth from shifting or becoming overcrowded.
Who is eligible for a dental bridge?
Our dental team will assess your teeth to determine if a fixed bridge is the best option for you. The bridge will be securely placed over two neighboring teeth for a precise fit. If larger bridges are not stable enough, we may suggest using implants for additional support.
During the dental bridge procedure, what occurs?
To start the procedure, a local anesthetic will be applied to numb the area in your mouth. Then, we will shape and file down the surrounding teeth to make room for the new fixed bridge. Impressions will be taken to create both a temporary and permanent bridge. You will leave with a temporary bridge after the first appointment and return for a second appointment to have the permanent bridge installed. During the second visit, the temporary bridge will be removed and the permanent one will be securely placed using dental-grade adhesive. The bridge will be polished and any necessary adjustments will be made. Finally, we will provide instructions on how to properly care for the bridge to ensure its longevity.
