Do you know when you might need a dental filling?

If you experience any discomfort or sensitivity in a particular area of your tooth, it could be a sign of tooth decay. This symptom may indicate problems such as a cavity, cracked tooth, or excessive wear. To determine if a cavity is present, we will conduct a variety of tests.
  • Visual assessment
  • Inspection/physical examination
  • Radiographs

The tests will assist in identifying the problem and developing a treatment plan. For small cavities, a wait-and-see approach may be suggested. But for more serious cavities that are causing pain or are hard to reach, a filling is usually required.

In the process, the decayed portion of the tooth is delicately removed, and the cavity is filled with a protective material to prevent future decay.
